The paddle itself is artisan made from Australian Spotted Gum hardwood, which is an exotic yet sustainable Australian hardwood that rates around twice as hard as oak, and serves as a rock solid base to make the sharpening process easier and helps to quickly bring edges back to an ultra-sharp finish with very little effort. Designed with two functional sides, both surfaces are made from carefully selected premium Australian cow leather to ensure outstanding results. One smooth surface is ideal for final edge refinement and can be used either with a high-grit compound or on its own.
