Tuna Fish Cutting Knife / Big Tuna Knife – Master Kuo FN Big 1500 is almost the biggest hand forged ‘effin big fish knives by Master Kuo. The black scale from the forge forms a natural protective coating that keeps the blade from rusting, and looks pretty cool, too. Made from high carbon spring steel, it has an RC hardness of 60-61 and weighs in at 1.5kg, or just over 3.25 lbs. In the grand scheme of all the Taiwan Tuna Knives, this knife is bigger than the FN Big 1400, and smaller than the FN Big 1600. The 1500 is meant to be used more like a zipper by using the weight to penetrate into, then push through and slice big fish like like Tuna, Mahi and swordfish. The big belly of the knife also acts as a cleaver that can cut through the bones, head and tail of the fish.
